Wonduruba clashes displaced over 5,000 people to Lainya

Five thousand, one hundred and nineteen people were displaced to Lainya County following clashes between the government and opposition forces in Wonduruba Payam of Juba County in Central Equatoria State last week.
 
Lainya County Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Coordinator Lawrence Salah Michael told Radio Easter on Tuesday that humanitarian situation of the displaced people is bad; lacking basic needs including food and shelter.
 
Mr Salah said many people are still hiding in the bush, urging the government and opposition to honour their commitments of signing the peace so that the displaced people return home.
 
The County Relief and Rehabilitation Commission Coordinator was speaking to Radio Easter in a telephone interview on Tuesday.
