The National Legislature comprising the National Legislative Assembly and the Council of States in an extraordinary sitting on Thursday adopted the Peace Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in the country in its totality.
Communications, Information and Culture Committee Chairperson in the Assembly Thomas Wani Kundu told Radio Bakhita that the August House approved with no reservation the Agreement President Salva Kiir and SPLM/A in opposition leader Riek Machar signed in August.
MP Kundu revealed that the adoption marks the beginning of the implementation of the Agreement and that formation of committees would soon follow.
