A new Director-General in Eastern Equatoria State Ministry of Information and Telecommunications took over office with a promise to improve services delivery.

Fr Auxilio Odume made the pledge on Tuesday when the State government Secretary-General Ottaviano Ochitti was introducing him to the office, Radio Emmanuel reported.

He thanked the state government for trusting him to take charge of the office, calling for teamwork among employees.

Fr Odume acknowledged that the Ministry of Information and Communications is one of the sensitive institutions that enables people know events in the state.

The State government Secretary-General Ochitti urged the staff to cooperate with their superiors to achieve the objectives of the ministry.

He notes that civil service is not a duty of one man, but that positions keep rotating from one person to another, although the employees are called permanent servants.

Governor Louis Lobong Lojore on September 2 issued executive orders appointing Fr Odume to the office with two others.
