Radio Emmanuel, a member of Catholic Radio Network or CRN in Torit Catholic Diocese on June 19, marked six years of successful broadcast since its commencement in 2009.

The Radio Manager, Lillian Ochoo, says the sixth anniversary celebration was postponed from June 19 to July 18 because Torit priests were for retreat and some technical problems forced the radio off air for few days, Radio Emmanuel reported.

Norwegian Church Aid or NCA representative Kasio Oliha hailed Radio Emmanuel and its staff’s hard word, advising them to continue preaching messages of peace to the conflicting communities and educate the general public on health issues.

Torit Catholic Diocese Vicar General Fr Arkangelo Lokoro describes radios as very important instruments to guide people to better live, advising journalists not to wait for information but use their professional skills to get and disseminate it to the public.

Fr Lokoro tells citizens of Eastern Equatoria State to be proud because of the available media houses that inform and enlighten them on many issues.
