US to punish individuals driving South Sudan to abyss

The United States of America or USA says alongside the international community they will punish South Sudanese leaders determined to drive South Sudan into deep hole.
 
US Security Advisor Ambassador Susan Elizabeth Rice in a message on South Sudan fourth Independence Anniversary says The United States will not abandon the people of South Sudan and their right to live freely and at peace in their own country.
 
She adds that US will continue to stand with all those who dream of a better tomorrow.
 
Ambassador Elizabeth says South Sudan government has relinquished its responsibilities, failed to protect its citizens and squandered its legitimacy.
 
She observes that instead of negotiating a resolution to the conflict, South Sudan government has undermined democracy and unilaterally extended its mandate.
 
The US Security Advisor adds that South Sudan conflict it threatens to destabilize the wider region, warning that President Salva Kiir and SPLM/A in Opposition leader Dr Riek Machar and their cronies are personally responsible for the new war and self-inflicted disaster.
 
Ambassador Elizabeth says The United States will continue to work hard to help South Sudan achieve lasting peace and justice and hold accountable those who abuse South Sudanese civil population.
