Eastern Equatoria State Governor while addressing the fourth independence anniversary of South Sudan in Torit on Thursday appealed to compatriots to unite for a peaceful nation by disengaging from continuous conflict that damages political, social and economic growth.
Governor Louise Lobong Lojore says conquering political, social and economic problems in South Sudan is only possible through unity as evidenced in the self-determination referendum vote that secured independence, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He cautions fellow citizens against making political aspirations that ignite tribal superiority contests, terming them as ‘baseless agitation’.
Governor Lobong reminds South Sudanese to abide by the National Anthem stipulating a vow for national protection.
The governor in his renewed term of office vows continuous co-operation with citizens to a journey of one people better Eastern Equatoria.
