Eastern Equatoria State community peace promoters are getting ready to educate communities on peace to avoid killing people for the sake of raiding cattle.
Skills for Peace & Development or SPD, an indigenous Non-Governmental Organization or NGO trained volunteers in Torit to carry out peace mobilization in communities.

In a one day planning meeting held in Torit women Center on Monday Skills for Peace and Development organization (SPD) has enriched the capacities of Volunteers Communities peace promoters to offer voluntary services.
SPD consultant Charles Onen Lofok says the meeting has come out with designed activities to start sensitization in the communities.
Stella Sunday volunteer for Skills for Peace and Development reiterates their commitment to advocate for peace in the communities.
Peter Oromo says he has acquired knowledge of proposals writing from the meeting.
Another participant Mrs. Santa Keji affirmed her wills to take peace message to the community members to avoid more killings.
Among peace building, Education, water and Sanitation and HIV /AIDS component Skills for peace and Development organization (SPD) also trains volunteers on proposal writings.
