Caritas South Sudan President on Friday left Juba for Rome, Italy to represent South Sudan Catholic Bishops for the first time in the twentieth Caritas International general assembly taking place from May 11 to 20.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe told CRN prior to departure that South Sudan participation is significant in the evaluation of the Caritas International over the last 20 years.
He reveals that on Monday Pope Francis would preside over the Eucharistic celebration for the opening of the General Assembly.
The Caritas President explains that the second day would witness the reception of Caritas South Sudan as the newest member of Caritas International, appreciating all stakeholders who contributed to build up the charity organization to the world level.
