South Sudan needs more missionaries support to spread the word of God to the people.
This was an observation St Paul Missionary Superior General of Nigeria Fr Victor Onwukeme made during his visit to Torit Catholic Diocese, Radio Emmanuel reported.
He said the word of God should reach South Sudanese to enable changes of hearts from evil deeds and thoughts to speed up the peace process in the young country.
Fr Onwukeme also mentioned the need of education as a way of bringing peace to the country, urging concerned authorities to build more schools and other services.
He advised Diocesan priests to continue in their ministry, pledging to work together with Torit Catholic Diocese.
The Superior General who arrived in Torit Catholic Diocese on Friday was there for a two-day pastoral visit to his congregation.
