South Sudan participates in strategic priorities’ conference in Rwanda

EVE Organization for Women Development on Monday left Juba for Kigali, Rwanda to participate in South Sudan Women’s Strategic priorities-setting conference.
 
EVE official Florence Ide told CRN that the conference aims at bringing together female civil society actors, partners and government officials to see effects of the conflict on women and come up with strategic priorities for the transitional period.
 
She said other EVE members also traveled to Yei River County of Central Equatoria State to conduct a workshop to engage men on the implementation of the United Nations Resolution 1325 for action plan to create awareness among men for women’s peace and security in South Sudan.
 
Ms Ide disclosed that the same workshop in Yei was done in Torit, Eastern Equatoria and that EVE is planning to extend it to Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal and other parts of the country.
