Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese trained 30 catechists of Nzara, Yabua and Namaku Parishes at Nzara Women Group.

The training aimed at imparting in catechists skills to record and report death cases of Christians in every Parish, Chapel and Center and encourage Christians for the way of the cross every Friday, Radio Anisa reported.

Vicar-General Anthony Bangoye in his opening remarks, urged the preachers to prepare for the Lenten season and follow the liturgy.

On the same occasion, Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese head catechist Richard Gbiaundore invited the faithful to support poor people during the Lenten period.

He told the laity group members to avoid organizing parties or dances during the forty days until Easter season.

The head catechist said similar trainings would be conducted in Yambio, Bakhita, Li-Rangu and Naandi Parishes.
