National Legislative Assembly Speaker on Tuesday decried shortage of finances due to conflict in the country hindering parliamentary services.
Manasseh Magok Rundial told VOA that the ongoing conflict curtailed everything making useful development funds suspended.
He added that the fighting is very worrying because it is killing fellow South Sudanese on either warring parties.
Speaker Magok is expected to chair an extraordinary parliamentary sitting on Thursday to listen to cabinet proposal to extend presidency and national legislature’s tenure in office for two years and adjourn general elections until 2017.
South Sudan Transitional Constitution 2011 stipulates that the national legislature shall deliberate on the amendment proposals after one month from the time of presentation.
