A land committee formed by Yei Mayor investigated selling procedure of the land around Zamba Church to residents living in area.

Deputy Mayor Silvano Ali Sanguson, who heads the committee, said they registered about 200 residents in the area for surveyors to do their work, Radio Easter reported.

He said they noted land selling to residents in three different procedures, adding that the authority would continue with its survey work.

The Deputy Mayor said if areas are surveyed and demarcated, it would ease access to health centers, electricity and clean drinking water.

He urged citizens to listen and only buy a well-surveyed plot to avoid loss.
