The President of the Republic accused Lakes politicians and elders of having a hand in the wave of inter-ethnic conflicts in the State.

President Salva Kiir Mayardit told a rally on Saturday in Rumbek that some leaders are only good at day time but do satanic things at night, Radio Good News reported.

He said Lakes politicians and elders knew very well why youths were killing themselves.

The President ordered Lakes SPLM Chairperson Daniel Awet Akot to verify the party political ranks and files and ensure politicians stay away from security issues.

He said his return to the State was to make a second appeal for peace and stability after the first visit of July 2014 could not improve the situation.

The President urged politicians, chiefs and elders to work together to rescue the young generation from finishing itself.
