Tore Payam authorities in Yei River County reported that many cattle keepers left the area as an implementation to resolutions of their meetings with farmers.
Speaking to Radio Easter on telephone, the Payam Director Azariah Khamis Noah confirmed that farmers started land preparation for the first season crops planting.
He appealed to the State Agriculture ministry to support farmers with seeds and other materials earlier enough to boost production.
The cattle keepers move out of Tore is a fulfillment of their agreement with farmers to avoid conflict.
