Equatorian community in exile expressed bitter concern criticizing Equatoria Governors’ lobby for maintaining Vice President James Wani Igga as the first deputy in command.
In a statement CRN obtained, the group accused the Governors of being supporters and beneficiaries of nepotistic practices; caring about their extended families to maintain their status quo and milking the ailing cow: South Sudan.
The statement pointed out that Governors Louis Lobong Lojore, Clement Wani Konga and Bangasi Joseph Bakasoro, cabinet ministers and members of parliament are addicted to accumulation of ‘ill-gotten wealth by maintaining ill-famed government in Juba’.
The group wrote that ‘Equatorians are not too narrow-minded to neglect the root causes of South Sudan conflict where thousands of innocent citizens were massacred in cold-blood by state sponsored militia’.
It added that ‘the real interest, cause and hope for Equatoria rest in change of ill-fated government in Juba from the top to bottom’.
