Kwörijik-Luri Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs called for government intervention to return home, saying they need military police to facilitate their transfer and stay in the area.
Women representative Sabina Laja told the press in Juba One Basic School that their situation is bad because since their displacement, they only received help from friends and the church.
She requested the government to direct Mundari community to vacate Kwörijik-Luri after killing innocent people and displacing hundreds.
The representative added that they need to return home for their children to start school, urging the government to support education in the area.
Ms Laja called on the government to put in place safety measures because armed Mundari continue to linger in the deserted village.
She complained that they earlier reported issues affecting them to the state government, but in vain until it reached to bloodshed, displacement and lost of property.
The representative spoke on Friday after the Program Coordinator in the office of the First Lady donated food and non food items to IDPs in Juba.
