South Sudan Catholic Bishops issued a message on Friday, encouraging the warring political leaders to ‘go deeper’ in risking concessions to deliver peace in abundance to the country.

Archbishop of Juba Paolino Lukudu Loro, who read the message to journalists, demanded leaders to think outside the political box and make unthinkable concessions to bring peace.

Archbishop Lukudu re-echoed the message ‘The war must stop: we will finish ourselves and finish the nation’.

The message of the Catholic Bishops stressed that ‘Any party that continues to fight the war against innocent citizens of South Sudan has no legitimacy’.

South Sudan Catholic Bishops urge all political players to cooperate to create consensus on contentious June 2015 elections schedule, quoting Jesus as saying ‘If one of you wants to be great, you must be the servant of the rest’.
