International Rescue Committee reported that one in three women experience violence committed by their partners in conflict affected areas in South Sudan.
IRC Manager Christine Gbondo while launching the report on Thursday under the theme ‘Partner violence, public concern,’ said the study focused on factors of violence among girls and women in conflict affected areas, Radio Bakhita reported.
She stated that IRC trained actors to provide correct information to communities on gender-based violence.
The research was conducted in three refugee camps of South Sudan, Kenya and Iraq.
