The Greek Orthodox Church faithful in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal on Wednesday received their Bishop in his first evangelical mission to South Sudan and Sudan.
Bishop Nartissos said the visit aimed to assess spiritual and social growth of the Orthodox Church in South Sudan, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
He said it is important for the Church to emphasis on both spiritual and human aspects that can encourage growth.
The Bishop disclosed a plan for Orthodox Church to establish health facilities in different areas of South Sudan.
Bishop Nartiissos pointed out that when human beings come closure to God, they would be able to live in harmony with neighbours and respect life.
He revealed that his Church would make Wau Parish the centre of its evangelization where Orthodox faith could be developed.
The Bishop expressed the need for his Church to train young men in South Sudan to become cleric to carry the evangelization in South Sudan.
