Lakes State Governor vowed to step down if he is found to be behind the rampant killings and rising insecurity in the state.

Matur Chut Dhuol said Lakes politicians in Juba on several occasions went to the Council of States, National Assembly and President Salva Kiir demanding his removal from office on accusations that he was responsible for insecurity, Radio Good News reported.

Governor Chut pledged to continue insulting youths who do not respect elders unless they stopped writing against him on the social media.

The Governor was speaking on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony of newly cabinet appointees at the State Secretariat in Rumbek.
