The Catholic Archbishop of Juba on Sunday visited Sacred Heart of Jesus Kwörijik-Luri Parish and confirmed 176 candidates with 63 coming from the main centre and the rest from some of its 16 Chapels.

Parish Priest Fr Clement Tombe Massimino said the visit of Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro and the Sacrament of Confirmation were planned earlier to coincide with the feast of the Sacred Heart, Radio Bakhita reported.

He said the Archbishop said Confirmation is a great feast of the Holy Spirit, requiring a separate day.

Fr Tombe advised Christians to prepare themselves during the Advent season by cleansing their hearts, reconciling and confessing to God for all evil acts committed.

The Parish priest said the coming of Jesus is a great feast that brings peace and unites people to God.
