Kajo-Keji County Commissioner while launching polio immunization campaign at Böri Boma of Kangapo II Payam on Tuesday, warned locals against entire dependence on witchdoctors and herbs for treatment.
Assistant Press Secretary Derrick Dickson told CRN in a telephone interview that Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni persuaded masses to visit medical facilities within their reach for treatment.
The Assistant Press Secretary said County Medical Officer Edward Mika told households to turn up in good number for the polio vaccination at their doors.
He said the Officer reported that the previous immunization was satisfactory.
Local reports indicate that public medical facilities in Kajo-Keji County have very limited service and that most residents use private health centres.
