United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS in Lakes State on Monday handed over a constructed detention cell as part of its Quick Impact Projects to Wulu community.
Lakes State UNMISS Coordinator Kwame Dwamena Aboagye said the Mission since 2012 is supporting improvement of water system, education and rule of law, Radio Good News reported.
He revealed that UNMISS spent thousand Dollars on fencing of Rumbek National Secondary School, construction of classrooms and toilets in Pankaar Secondary School and a detention cell in Wulu County among others.
Lakes Acting Governor Santo Domic Chol appreciated UNMISS for supporting the government in infrastructure development, saying the cell would remain a credit for the government, Wulu County and the Mission.
Local Government Minister Jok Ayom Majak advised Wulu community to remain peaceful and stick to their good cultures.
