Yei Catholic Bishop on Friday during a recollection heartened priests to endure serving in cooperation and unity despite their little number unable to reach adequate services to other parts of the diocese.
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe described priests’ service in the diocese as ‘heavy and not easy’, terming the largeness of parishes as dioceses with at most two priests running a parish, Radio Easter reported.
Bishop Lodu encouraged the priests to take courage and offer credible services in communion with one another because the Lord is with them.
Fr Lazarus Mondua said the recollection renewed his commitment, love and knowledge as a shepherd to deliver fruitful services.
The bishop and the priests made the statements after the half day recollection on Friday.
