United Nations Children’s Fund or UNICEF on Monday launched conflict sensitivity training for three days at Western Equatoria State Education Ministry.

40 participants drawn for the training include County Education Directors, members of Inter-Church Committee, women, youth and government representatives, Anisa Radio reported.

Western Equatoria UNICEF Representative Ticiana Gracia said the training targets structuring some strategies for conflict sensitivity education and promoting peace building among local communities and schools.

State Education Minister Pia Philip Michael said the workshop should focus on methodologies for resolving conflict in schools and local communities.

He observed that through school children, conflicts could be minimized in the future.
