Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa or SIHA network in Wau, Western Bahr El Ghazal State is conducting three-day workshop for 15 paralegals to help communities access their rights through justice.
SIHA Program Officer Ramadan Adam Ibrahim told Voice of Hope on Monday that the workshop was to train paralegals to provide basic law awareness for women to access justice in the community.
Mr Adam revealed that the 15 trained paralegals would work on the ground with chiefs, women, youths and elders to reduce socials problems in the state.
State Government Gender representative Viola Phillip urged the participants to work in hospitals, prison and police stations to offer legal aid to people to access justice.
SIHA is one of the women development organizations that started operating in Western Bahr El Ghazal in December 2013, focusing on access to justice.
