Tonj South traders in Warrap State on Tuesday said poor roads are compelling them to increase commodity prices.
Ibrahim Sadiq added that most of shops were empty because of bad roads, making transport of goods from Uganda, Kenya and other parts of South Sudan to Tonj very difficult, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He said 50 kilograms of sugar is costing 500 South Sudanese Pounds and that other commodities are costly also.
Trader Adam Musa said since August this year, no goods were delivered to Tonj from Uganda and Kenya and that they were getting their supplies from Wau and Aweil through poor roads.
