Monyemiji Union Chairman cheats death in gunshot

Unknown assailant on Wednesday shot and wounded Monyemiji Union Chairman along Mura-hatiha-Tirangore road in Eastern Equatoria State, leaving him alive in deadly attack.
 
Talking to Radio Emmanuel at Torit Referral Hospital, the wounded survivor Albino Lima said the attacker shot him in the hand at around 5:00 PM on the way from Mura-hatiha to Torit town.
 
He attributed his survival from the attacker to failure of the gun to cog for the second time, suspecting that the attacker wanted to kill.
 
Mr Lima said Mura-hatiha youths rushed to the scene and recovered his motor cycle and other belongings, adding that two thousand South Sudanese Pounds of his was lost in the incident.
 
The attack on Monyemiji Union chairperson came days after women were attacked and killed between Lobira and Torit.
