Western Bahr El Gazal government on Wednesday in an evaluation forum resolved transparent collective efforts for quick response to service delivery.
The three-day forum discussed 20 different papers from nine ministries, three counties, Wau municipality and other seven special presentations, Voice of Hope reported.
Governor Rizik Zachariah Hassan said the forum evaluated performance of all institutions as its first trial to pave way for better future and declared levels of responsibilities which need collective efforts for responsive action.
He explained that challenges overshadowed achievements due to inefficiency in handling local revenues at all levels and that government and found resolutions to deal with financial recourses in counties.
Governor Zachariah called on participants to be more practical in implementing the outcome of the forum.
State Legislative Assembly representative Mario John Nyipoung lamented lack of transparency in financial reporting in the state.
He observed that most reports presented during the forum had no clear financial detail which according to him ‘does not reflect the forum’s goal’.
The three-day forum under the theme: ‘Accountability, transparency for responsive government’ brought together more than 250 stakeholders in the state.
