Christians of Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese on Sunday joined the global Catholics to celebrate the feast of Lateran Basilica, the official residence of Pope in Rome.
Maringindo new Parish Priest Fr George Hume while presiding over the ceremony urged the faithful to honour the church building and protect all its properties, Anisa Radio reported.
He explained that anybody doing bad to his neighbour is destroying part of the church.
The priest requested Christians to go to church for frequently prayers to take God’s blessings to their homes and spread good news to others.
The celebration brought together a good number of faithful and Catholic Charismatic Renewal members who assembled for three-day seminar at St Joseph Quasi Parish.
