A priest in the Catholic Diocese of Yei urged citizens and politicians to abandon dark doings especially senseless war, murder, theft and corruption and turn to God to realize peaceful and harmonious living.

In his Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral, Fr Tom Poru Martin said all evil deeds happening in the country are results of people deviating from God, warning that further evasion would invite more troubles, Radio Easter reported.

He observed that the nation is heading to wrong direction, adding that God would not leave South Sudanese alone.

The Catholic priest called on Christians to pray for the end of the war through amicable dialogue.
