Central Equatoria State Information and Broadcasting Minister on Monday regrettably confirmed the tragic murder of the former Yei Mayoress in Juba over the weekend.
Suba Samuel Manasseh said Central Equatoria remembers fallen Oba Cecilia Tito for her strength in SPLM women pioneering leadership and staunch membership in Yei and beyond.
He described the death of Oba Cicilia Tito as very sad as an asset to the nation with Masters in Public Administration from South African University sponsored by SPLM as a cadre to promote women empowerment and gender equity.
Minister Samuel also remembers late Cecilia for being charming, social and establishing Central Equatoria State Cabinet Affairs Ministry as the first appointee.
He remembers the former Yei Mayoress’ role in the first State Legislative Assembly during 2005 Comprehensive Peace Agreement period.
The Minister said the late Cecilia was a successful ambitious leader and parent survived with two children.
National Legislative Assembly member representing Yei River County Paul Yoane Bonju remembers the late Cecilia for her civility, smile, moderation and maturity in managing difficult issues.
He expressed grief in losing the former Mayoress, swearing that her blood would trace and expose the murderers how long it may take.
The former Yei Mayoress and her Office Manager Emmanuel Lemi were found dead on Sunday evening at her construction premises along Yei-Juba road.
The official source reveals that police are carrying out investigation and that preliminary report suggests that the deceased were beaten to death somewhere else before being dumped at the construction site.
