Sixty-six St Joseph’s Seminarians on Wednesday assembled in the shrine at St Mary Parish to pray for vocation in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese.
St Joseph Rector Fr John Gbemboyo said the Seminary administration thought wise to celebrate the first mass in the shrine to thank God for the gift of the late Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite, the first bishop among the natives of the diocese, Anisa radio reported.
He added that they asked Bishop Gasi to pray for the seminarians and the entire clergy left behind to follow the same vocation.
The Rector encouraged the seminarians to follow the footsteps of the late Bishop Gasi who did his work well and used to pray for more vocation.
Fr Gbemboyo urged the public to pray for the future priests in the vineyard of the Lord and assist the bishop in catering for Seminarians to continue their formation.
He said they scheduled every first Wednesday of a month for Seminarians prayers in the shrine.
