Yei Mayor bans drug consumption business

Yei Mayor issued local orders banning drug abuse including chewing of marungi, shisha and opium smoking and drinking of spirits alcohol in plastic bags.
 
In a copy Radio Easter obtained, Santo Paul Lasuba banned smoking of shisha in public places including bars, restaurants and tea shelters.
 
He warned that violators would face serious penalties not less than three months imprisonment and confiscation of transport means of a drug abuse dealer.
 
The Mayor’s order said any one found smoking in the public place would be fined two hundred South Sudanese Pounds and the container confiscated and destroyed.
