Yei River County Boda-boda Union Deputy Director urged riders to take precautions by assessing customers and time before carrying to avoid life attacks and confiscation of motorcycles by some customers.

Apollo Hassan Jackson on Monday expressed his unhappiness over one of the riders hijacked, tied in the bush and his motorcycle confiscated by armed robbers 15 miles along Yei-Juba road, Radio Easter reported.

He lamented that the arms of the victim were swollen because he stayed for long in the bush before he was rescued by some good Samaritans.

Mr Hassan said the rescued rider was taken to Lainya police for investigation and to Yei Hospital for treatment.

The Deputy Director also decried difficult times including armed robberies, accidents and threats of HIV and AIDS facing riders during Christmas season.

He appealed to Boda-boda men to desist from late night movements.
