The St Daniel Comboni Catechists and Teachers Training Institute is graduating its teachers on Friday marking the feast of their patron at Holy Cross Parish, Kauda of El Obeid Diocese.
The Diocesan Education Coordinator Sister Cathy Solano told Voice of Peace that the first group of twelve successful trainees will graduate in the evening.
She said although a small group of teachers is graduating, it was a good sign for South Kordofan citizens because some of them already started teaching in other schools.
Sr Solano noted that some graduates who completed studies in June and joined teaching are working as head teachers.
Education is a serious challenge due to lack of teachers as a result of long conflict in Southern Kordofan region.
