South Sudan National Police Service on Friday alerted public about a rare burglary at their General Administration Headquarters in Juba, resulting in a loss of 300 thousand South Sudanese Pounds meant for police September salaries.
Police Spokesperson Colonel James Monday Enoka made the announcement in a press briefing that unidentified burglar marched away with 300 thousand South Sudanese Pounds, leaving much more 4.6 Million South Sudanese Pounds intact.
He added that the alleged unknown thief also left reading glass and mental saw at the scene.
The Police Spokesperson assured public that any culprit caught in connection with the burglary among the police service would face police emergency court for screening and uprooting wrong elements to ensure clean accountable system.
Colonel Monday urges police all over the country to remain calm, assuring them of salaries’ payment in due course despite the loss.
The Police Spokesperson said the burglary incident was noticed at 2:00 AM Friday morning hours near Accounts Office by one police personnel on duty.
