Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese, South Sudan, Sudan and World is mourning Emeritus Bishop Joseph Gasi Abangite who died on Saturday for three days at St Mary’s Cathedral in Yambio to be laid to rest on Tuesday evening.
Bishop Edwardo Hiiboro Kusala announced on Sunday that they chose Yambio for the late Emeritus Bishop’s burial because it is the centre of the diocese accessible to world leaders because he was an international man, Anisa Radio reported.
St Mary Parish Priest Fr Peter Moudie announced that there would be a mass on Monday and requiem mass on Tuesday at 2:00 PM, appealing to believers and well-wishers to contribute for the funeral rite of the late Bishop.
