Christians of all denominations, government officials, women groups and civil society organizations on Thursday marched from Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Cathedral to Rumbek Freedom Square to pray for peace and an end to killing among communities of Lakes State.
The ECSSS Archbishop Daniel Deng Bul called on the public to fast and cry to God for harmony in the state, Good News Radio reported.
He called on Lakes State citizens to embrace peace, unity and love for one another to defeat the devil that strongly misleads them to kill each other.
The public prayer brought together Lakes State government officials and all denominations in Rumbek.
