Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor on Sunday said they strongly believe that there would be no space for land grabbing in Wau as in Juba.

Rizik Zachariah Hassan told visiting journalists in Wau that they would develop a master plan for legalizing acquisition of land to eliminate any case of land grabbing.

The Governor insisted on quick transfer of the national capital from Juba to Wau, citing discomfort of Central Equatoria citizens in hosting the national government due to land grabbing.

He argued that Central Equatoria is not hospitable to all ethnic groups.

Governor Zachariah said Wau is favorable for the national capital because the community is hospitable and the land is vast enough to accommodate all.

Wau elder Joseph Daniel Mbimbi who spoke with reservations said citizens welcome the transfer with belief that it brings development.
