Yei River County Deputy Police Director called on citizens to report any drunken soldier or individual moving with guns or grenades in the town to prevent harm.
First lieutenant Felix Modi James on Thursday attributed the cause of the grenade explosion to excessive drinking of alcohol compelling soldiers to misbehave, Easter Radio reported.
He assured citizens of adequate organized forces including Police, Wildlife, Prisons Wardens and the Fire Brigade to quickly respond to any security threat in Yei.
Lieutenant Modi also revealed that the deceased civilian is a Congolese citizen, while injured victims are in fair health conditions.
