Tonj South traders in Warrap State on Thursday urged authorities and wholesale traders to meet and reduce prices of commodities in markets.

Malony Makuac explained that 25 kg of sugar reached to 70 South Sudan Pounds while that of 50 kg went to 220, Don Bosco Radio reported.

He added that local traders were suffering because they buy commodities at high prices from the wholesalers and they get no profit.

Another local trader from Malith market Akot Bol complained that they were only getting ten or five South Sudan Pounds from sugar, flour, biscuits and other commodities.

He said when they increase their price to benefit, people complained of high prices.
