United Nations Mission in South Sudan on Thursday reported four cases of murder in its protection sites.
UNMISS Police Commissioner Frederick Yiga on Thursday told journalists in Juba that a certain man killed his wife and another killed his brother by kicking him on the stomach on the process of mediating a fight between his brother and a wife.
He advised that it was important to report to the police when problems occur but not to take the law into their hands.
The Police Commissioner said they recorded 400 people committing crimes since December 15 in Juba in the camp, adding that they isolated and detained them in UN facilities.
He disclosed there were theft cases, human rights abuses and alcohol consumption and that those drunk abuse the rights of not drunk.
UN Police Commissioner Yiga said they trained community watch groups volunteering to keep peace who meet regularly to avoid fighting and maintain order during humanitarian aid distribution.
The Police Commissioner added that they were working with community elders to ensure sorting out crimes.
