Eastern Equatoria Information Minister denied an allegation that plots at Omoliha market were not redistributed to constitutional post holders, saying neither a minister, nor an MP owns a plot at the selling centre.
Clement Chichim Laku said the council of minister passed a memo on Thursday to redistribute plots at the former market to interested people to redevelop, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He said the plots would only be given to people who comply with the set standards of structures.
Minister Laku explained that Physical Infrastructure minister earlier briefed the cabinet on Thursday about unoccupied plots due to the relocation of the market.
The claims on plots at Omoliha market were among accusations against former Torit Mayor Stephen Osfaldo Loboli.
