Eastern Equatoria Council of ministers on Thursday resolved that schools re-open on Monday after temporary closure following cholera outbreak.
State Information Minister Clement Chichim Laku told Emmanuel Radio that the closure was a preventive measure to protect pupils against the disease.
The Acting State Education Minister Margret Itto who tabled the schools re-opening memo said the two-week closure was to help control the spread of cholera.
She said the move followed high records of cholera infection among young people admitted to Torit State Hospital.
