Free Voice in partnership with South Sudan Theatre Organisation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific Organization or UNESCO will present a series of street dramas this weekend in Juba Arabic across the city.
The drama project titled Ta’alim Le Nas, Amsuku (Education for the people: catch it!) will see six dramas performed across Juba over the next few months.
Free Voice Drama Director Dominique Gorgory said the first drama to be performed on Saturday in Mukuki Souk Libya explores the value of education in South Sudan through the story of Hadiya and her family telling challenges facing girls who wish to access education.
He added that the same dramas would be performed in Gudele bus station on Sunday and in Gumbo near the market.
The Director said the performances are expected to be closed with discussions between the cast and audience members on issues explored in the drama.
He is inviting members of the public to join the exercise to benefit from the lessons to be delivered.
