Nzara County Commissioner advocated for federal governance, describing it as a system where states have control of their own affairs.
 
Elia Richard Box on Wednesday marking the third Independence Day said some people misunderstood the concept of federalism, adding that federalism is the only way for taking towns to people, Anisa Radio reported.
 
He called on South Sudanese to understand federalism correctly to avoid division and segregation.
 
Mr Box warned against depending on unnecessary rumours originating from war mongers.
 
Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Nzara Bishop Samuel Peni urged every to pray so that peace may prevail in the country, calling on political leaders to resolve their conflict amicably to bring peace to the entire nation.
 
County Deputy chairperson for independence celebration urged women to go to school in order to fill the percentage given to them.
 
The colourful celebration which started with parade from the army, organized forces and students brought together thousands of people at Nzara Freedom Square.
