ECSSS Bishop calls for peace in next independence celebration

Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Kajo-Keji Bishop appealed to the warring parties to take the next round of talks seriously so that the fourth independence anniversary is celebrated in a peaceful atmosphere nationwide.
 
Bishop Anthony Poggo urged the government to make good use of religious leaders, to fully participate in the process to achieve lasting peace.
 
He wished that the forth independence anniversary would be celebrated in peace and togetherness as one nation, describing the current conflict as ‘very sad’.
 
He urged South Sudanese to work hard towards peace, unity and reconciliation to become one people.
 
Kajo-Keji Country Press Secretary Amule Charles reported that Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni appreciated citizens especially organized forces for showing good example and maintaining peace and unity.
 
He reported that the Commissioner encouraged youths to embark on productive activities to promote development in the country, persuading them to aim at achieving high education than choosing boda-boda business.
 
The Country Press Secretary said Commissioner Kala encouraged citizens to continue embracing unity, peaceful co-existence and reconciliation in South Sudan.
 
Over one thousand people on Wednesday gathered in Kajo-Keji Freedom Square to celebrate the third Independence Anniversary.
