Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Wau Bishop urged the President of the Republic and the opposition leader to compromise for peace to prevail in the country for the sake of innocent citizens.
Bishop Moses Deng Bol said time of war was over and that the country needs peace and development, saying Salva Kiir and Riek Machar have the power to bring peace if they negotiated in good faith, Voice of Hope reported.
He appealed to the two leaders to stop the ongoing bloodshed by sticking to the ceasefire agreement to end the suffering of civilians.
Bishop Deng lamented that he would celebrate the independence with shame because those who supported to attain it are disappointed.
